EAI Co., Ltd. (EAI) is an environmental and engineering risk management consultancy specializing in environmental and engineering services to financial, real estate, manufacturing and legal sectors. The company is headquartered in Tokyo and has major affiliate offices located in Osaka, Kyushu and Sapporo, Japan.

Hironori Kamemoto Ph.D.
EAI Co-managing Director
Kamemoto is a member of the Japan Society for Remediation of Radioactive Contamination in Environment, the Japan Asbestos Surveyors Association, the Japan Society for Impact Assessment and the International Association for Impact Assessment Japan. He is closely involved in all EAI projects as a member of our senior technical review/signatory team. He holds a Doctorate in Environmental Studies from the Yale University School of Forestry.
Kevin M. Carroll
EAI Co-managing Director
An environmental risk management professional with 35+ years of experience in the technical, managerial, and financial aspects of environmental assessment and compliance, Carroll provides his clients with expertise in interpreting the finances behind environmental liability in corporate transactions, M&A, and structured financing programs.
A member of the Japan Urban Land Institute, Carroll holds a BA in Environmental Biology from Manhattan College in New York.
David Kahane
MPH, CIH
Chairman, Forensic Analytical Specialties Inc.
As chairman of the California-based Forensic Analytical Services Inc., Kahane oversees consulting group operations and provides litigation support services. In Japan, he is a director of both EAI Co., Ltd. and EFA Laboratories Co., Ltd.
Prior to founding Forensic Analytical, Kahane spent four years in Washington D.C. as a consultant to industrial hygiene firms and as an industrial toxicologist at American Medical Laboratories. He has a BA in Physiology and a Master’s in Public Health in Biomedical and Environmental Sciences from the University of California at Berkeley.
